The parking garage by HK Architekten in Bad Aibling in Upper Bavaria almost completely consists of timber. The material captures nearly twice the amount of carbon emitted during construction. However, in the course of the mobility transition, parking garages might become obsolete. Thus, the structure is reversible and its elements permit reuse. Beams and columns feature bolted connections or interlocking joints.
