The new town hall in Maaninka, a small provincial town, consists of three two-storey buildings linked by a glass pasageway with r.c. columns and a glue-laminated limber roof. The blue-grey timber cladding and pastel plaster of the facades offers a modulated contrast to the surrounding buildings, and achieves a lighter effect.
