Materials such as wood, loam and natural stone constitute the five storey block border construction situated in Boulogne-Billancourt, a suburb of Paris. The building features a striking loam exterior facing the street, a ground floor plinth consisting of sandstone block, as well as wood for the ceilings, walls and the rear facade. The office of Déchelette Architecture was tasked with planning the subsidised housing project and, at the same time, considering materials that display a small carbon footprint. Concrete was only used for the ground floor slab, the first floor ceiling and the access core.
