Situated in a summer resort in the mountains, the 1,000 m2 terrace, together with an adjoining café and restaurant, affords an unimpeded view over the landscape. The terrace is articulated by pavings in local stone and teak and is enclosed by glazed balustrades that function as a transparent safety barrier. At the western end, a pool of water forms a serene mirrored surface. The café and restaurant are housed in single-storey buildings, with a kitchen and grill to one side. A steel structure laid out to a 12 m square grid with fabric strip coverings provides a shaded area for 350 visitors. An elaborate but subtly integrated lighting system serves to illuminate the complex at night and creates a scenic effect.
