Hotel or B&B? Deciding where to stay used to be reasonably straightforward, but for today’s travellers, the choice is often overwhelming. Picking a hotel also means choosing a temporary way of life. In recent years, phenomena such as Airbnb or couch surfing have not only competed with the hotel industry but also inspired it to stake out new paths. Current hotel concepts transcend conventional boundaries and embrace differentiated target groups. Design plays a special role here: with a thoughtfully staged atmosphere and individual room offerings, hotels offer more than just a bed to sleep in. They convey a philosophy of life that their guests feel comfortable with and ideally share.
