Offices and a hall of rest with four chapels were built at Srebrnice east of Novo Mesto in Slovenia in the year 2000. Visitors‘ eyes are drawn along the main axis to the large hall of rest, then on to the woodland behind the hall. Just before the hall, a fence takes up the direction of the axis and leads visitors on to the portico, placed vertically to the path and marking the entrance to the transparent hall of rest on the right. At right angles to it is a low building containing four chapels, entered separately through the paling fence. The entrance doors are recessed in canopied wall niches. The hall volume is repeated by 25 reinforced concrete columns on the opposite side, creating a gentle transition to the landscape.
