Young Catalan architectural firm Maio developed a modular construction system for Italian furniture manufacturer Arper offering endless possibilities. The design was realised for the first time at the Salone del Mobile 2017.

The two seemingly different exhibition stands are based on an identical design principle of square wooden frames measuring 2.5 x 2.5 m. The simplicity of assembly and reusability of the elements was a fundamental part of their development, carried out in close collaboration with the furniture company.

The idea of creating different spatial programmes and configurations using simple geometric elements forms the basis for future exhibitions.
